Literary and artistic workers are the recorders and disseminators of the spirit of the times. A film like Farewell My Concubine lets the world grasp the epic texture of Chinese narrative; a song like "The Moon Represents My Heart" has been sung across East Asia for half a century; films like Wolf Warrior and The Wandering Earth mark the maturation of China's film industry. An artist's professional achievements are both the crystallization of personal talent and a microcosm of the Chinese cultural industry maturing and going global.

This list is a professional achievement evaluation under the "Humanities" section of the China Panoramic Public Performance Score (CPPPS), covering about 30 artists with recognized professional achievements in China's film, television, and music fields. Unlike common "popularity lists" or "commercial-value lists", this list uses four dimensions—Scale, Quality, Innovation, and Contribution—and publicly verifiable professional achievements—representative works, box-office/ratings, professional awards, professional reputation, public welfare and charity, cultural overseas expansion, and industry contribution—to compute the ranking independently, without reproducing the positions of any existing list.

Strict de-identification principle: this list evaluates only professional achievements and never evaluates personal morality, rumors, private life, or any controversy. It is a "professional achievement evaluation", not a "personal appraisal". The evaluation dimensions, weights, algorithms, and data sources are all public, reproducible, permanently free, and never sold.

Evaluation results: Jackie Chan, Jay Chou, Teresa Teng, Ang Lee, and Andy Lau rank in the top five. Overall, artists who combine international awards, cultural overseas expansion, and industry pioneering rank highest, while those with huge box-office volume but relatively limited international awards and pioneering rank in the middle and lower tiers. The data is based mainly on official public information, supplemented by approximate values from public common knowledge, marked "subject to official sources".

The object of this algorithm is "professional achievement", not "popularity" or "personal evaluation". The selection criteria are as follows:

The total score is the weighted sum of the four dimensions, with the internal indicators of each dimension first range-standardized to [0,1]:

Commercial volume (film box office and music sales) is a wide-ranging indicator and is standardized after taking the logarithm log₁₀ to avoid top-tier monopoly; film and music have different units, so they are standardized separately by domain, with cross-domain artists counted by their primary field.

Professional awards are the most objective proxy variable for "quality", weighted higher than reputation.

Award-scoring details (publicly verifiable, subject to official sources): a top award or acting award at a Class-A international film festival, an Oscar, a Grammy, and the like are each counted as 40; top domestic/regional professional awards such as the Golden Rooster/Hong Kong Film Awards/Golden Horse/Golden Melody Awards are each counted as 20; other important professional awards are each counted as 10, with a cumulative cap of 100. Those who stack multiple top awards (such as two Best Director Oscars, or a grand slam of the Golden Lion, Golden Bear, and Palme d'Or) can reach the maximum score.

Box office is the approximate cumulative mainland box office of works in which the artist starred or directed (referring to public ticketing statistics such as Maoyan Pro and Dengta Pro); sales are the approximate cumulative record sales (referring to public record-release and sales materials); awards, reputation, innovation, public welfare, overseas expansion, and industry contribution are approximate values from public common knowledge. All of the above are uniformly marked "subject to official sources". Limitations: ① box-office/sales calibers are diverse (mainland/global, physical/digital) and difficult to fully unify; ② film and music commercial volumes are standardized by domain, so cross-domain comparability is limited; ③ dimensions such as reputation, innovation, and public welfare contain some subjective components, which are kept as convergent as possible based on public facts; ④ the sample of about 30 artists is a representative selection rather than full coverage.
